Next up was Baby T for his 9 month portraits. Mini-sessions are great for capturing those little in-between milestones during the year.  The Tummy to Toddler collections include one of these sessions as well. He wasn’t really into having portraits on this day though, until I brought out the little chair, then he only wanted the chair. Such a little cutie patootie.

And last but not least, I shot my own children, who actually cooperated for once, without an extreme amount of bribery.

Here’s a peek at some of my favorite shots from their first session.

I headed out for their session a bit early in hopes to grab a blended coffee at my favorite shop, but didn’t make it to town quite in time. After doing a few things in the office I took the scenic drive out to the chosen location, an abandoned roadside barn on a beautiful river bend, a little bit early. I already knew that this was one of my favorite places to soak in the world, so planned on getting a few shots in before we were to get started.  When they arrived I was eyeballing a couple of the “neighborhood” horses, who always capture my attention. Then it was time to get to work.  It was a ton of fun, lots of laughing, jokes and sunshine.

Here are a few of my favorites from that beautiful April afternoon.

This one of the kids is one of my favorites from their session. I really love their natural expressions and the Shasta Valley wind helped us out just a bit and died down slightly.

You guys were so much fun, I cannot wait to have you into the office to view your slideshow.

There is SO much love in their household, Baby P is one lucky little guy. I am so blessed to be able to call this my ‘job’ and was able to capture some of my most favorite newborn portraits ever.

This last one, is probably my most favorite from Baby C’s entire session.

Mother’s day is right around the corner as well, and some new portraits of the little ones or even the bigger ones would make a fantastic gift.

This year I have planned 2 mini-session days, one for spring and one in a few months for fall. These are the only 2 events this year where we will offer mini-sessions, at least as of now.

There are a limited number of sessions available. Sessions can be booked on the hour or the half-hour; beginning at 9:00am and the final session will be at 1:00pm. Not all session times may be available when you’re ready to book, so be sure to have 3 preferred times picked out.

There are 2 options for your collection, a digital mini-session, which includes a disc & personal print release or a printed collection, which includes 3 8×10′s of your choice and 1 5×7 of each final image from your mini-session.

There are a couple of restrictions and terms: 1 family per Mini-Session (7 person max). No clothing changes. Fees are due at the time of booking. Fees are non-refundable as of 48 hours prior to your session time.

This session didn’t go as we had planned, as sometimes happens. We shot a little later, which ended up working in our favor; the weather was less than cooperative.  We did get to see a beautiful sunset and get a chill in the 30 MPH breeze that was  blowing , in the wrong direction.  I am in love with the shots we got. They are some of my most favorite.  Believe it or not, 1 week after this session (so this past Friday) baby O was born and we’ll be shooting his newborn portraits within this next week.

This one is probably my most favorite maternity shot ever. I love everything about it.
